Arunima Foundation

Arunima Sinha (born 1988) is world's first female amputee to climb Mount Everest. She had qualified as a Head Constable in the CISF in 2012 and was a national level volleyball player who was pushed out of a running train by thieves in 2011 while resisting them,One of her legs had to be amputated below the knee as a result. However, On 21st May, 2013 she stood on top of the world, and reached the Mt. Everest Summit by turning weakness into a winning force. Arunima Foundation is a Trust registered in Aug,2014 having it's registered office at Arunima Bhawan, Bijnaur,Lucknow and is aiming to empower people with disabilities. Arunima Sinha believes she has achieved her Goal and would now like to help differently abled people in achieving their goals .
